I have to admit, it is easier for me to write a short story than to tell you about myself.

So who is Charlotte Ehney?

I am that girl who was always reading, so much so that I talked the school librarian into letting me check out more books than the maximum allowed just so I would always have a new book to dive into. At the end of a book, I would bask in the afterglow of a perfect ending ... until I started wondering what the characters would do next and what other adventures would they have. 

I am that girl who stayed with her grandmother after school. I sat next to her as she regaled me with stories of people who had the ability to talk the fire out of burns, warts off of skin and blood from flowing from wounds. I heard her spout off superstitious predictions when silverware fell onto the floor or when an owl hooted near the house. She applied folk remedies to me for nosebleeds and hiccups. She inspired my love of rural folk lore and superstitions.

I am that girl who sat with her father watching the TV show "In Search Of" absorbing all that I saw. The realm of mysterious places and abnormal occurences facinated me. I wanted to know more. I consumed all the books I could find on an array of paranomal subjects -- magic, witches, vampires, werewolves, ghosts, demons, mysterious places, sacred sites, cryptozoology and folk lore. I wanted to know it all.

I am the author who loves to write about the paranomal in the rural South. What will show up in my stories? Vampires, demons, spirit portals, dieties, magic -- you never know.

Keep your eyes open because the mysterious is everywhere, we just have to look around us to find it!
